Message from the Board of School Trustees

On Sept. 7, 2017, Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky announced his retirement, effective June 2018, after 30 years with the Clark County School District (CCSD). He has been Superintendent since 2013.

CCSD Board of School Trustees President Deanna L. Wright said, “We are working to hire a new Superintendent who will continue to build on the progress CCSD has seen in increasing the graduation rate, as well as the number of students attending Magnet schools and the number who take Advanced Placement classes and tests.”

On Nov. 30, the Board selected Ray and Associates to conduct the search, pending negotiations, and on Dec. 14 approved the bid award for Ray and Associates.
